This is an outrage!  Weird Al—BananaSurprise’s first celebrity victim—remains near and dear to our hearts.  Stay the course, Al.  And if you ever run into Gaga—be sure to throw the biggest banana EVER at her!

urlesque:

On his blog, Weird Al describes the unprecedented hoops he jumped through to get Gaga’s approval for a “Born This Way” parody, including actually recording the finished song so she could hear it (a Weird Al first). After all that, Gaga nixed the track, called “Perform This Way.”

Fellow Tumblr MadameMe BananaSurprised her boyfriend Nick!  And although he did not catch the banana initially, he returned the favor with a Banana Surprise of his own.
On another note:  sometimes, we don’t advise you to eat the banana when you’re done.  Just saying.
Thanks MadameMe!  And for the rest of you, what are you waiting for? Click Here to send in your own Banana Surprise!!

Yeah you do!
amsyylesavage:

I need to try this

bananasurprise:

For those of you who are new to the world of Banana Surprise, here is a Primer for you to get maximum enjoyment out of our fancy Tumblr:
Participate in Banana Surprise by following these simple steps!
Step One:  Get a Banana.
Step Two:  Shout out to unsuspecting friend, relative, co-worker or stranger.
Step Three:  GENTLY toss Banana so they catch it.
Step Four:  Snap photo of confused recipient.
Step Five:  Send in Photo.
Step Six:  Eat Banana!
See?  It’s just that easy.  And to make it even easier, here are some tips from our professional Banana Throwers:
Employ a co-conspirator to take the photo as you throw the Banana at your victim.  It’s surprisingly difficult (though not impossible) to throw a banana and aim a camera at the same time!  This will also help prevent you from accidentally throwing your camera at someone while trying to snap their photo with a piece of fruit!
Timing is crucial—you don’t want to miss “That Moment.”  So some people have recorded The Surprise using video, and then taken screen grabs of their favorite moments of The Surprise.  Not a bad plan.
Banana Surprises are, in some rare instances, known to cause fatigue in both Surpriser and Surprisee.  Luckily, there is a snack on hand, should any light-headedness occur.  You may want to share.
Reblog and send in your Banana Surprise right now! (You know you want to.)
